Laser Hair Removal

At Alchemy Wellness we offer Laser Hair Removal using the Cervello Laser —a fast, effective, and comfortable solution for smooth, long-lasting results. Imported from Italy and FDA approved

How It Works

The Cervello laser uses advanced Nd:YAG+Diode+Alexandrite triple-wavelength technology to target hair follicles at the root. The laser’s energy is absorbed by the hair pigment, disabling the follicle while leaving surrounding skin unharmed. Built-in Double Cooling Technology keeps your skin comfortable throughout the treatment, making it virtually pain-free. This triple-wavelength system ensures safe, effective results for all skin tones, including tanned or darker complexions.

FAQ`s

Does laser hair removal hurt?

Laser hair removal is virtually painless. Each pulse lasts less than a second, producing a slight tingling feeling. In particularly sensitive areas, such as the upper lip, it may feel like a rubber band snap on the skin. Our laser provides advanced cooling to reduce the heat sensation on the skin and minimize any discomfort.

How long does laser hair removal take?

Treatment time varies based on the size of the area being treated. Small areas can be as fast as 5 minutes while large areas can take up to an hour.

What is the down time or recovery time?

There is no real down time, your skin may be warm and/or red immediately afterwards but it will not interfere with normal activities.

Can I still get laser hair removal if I am pregnant?

Based on current medical advice, we are unable to perform laser hair removal during the first trimester of pregnancy. We advise clients in the second or third trimester of pregnancy, to obtain medical clearance prior to treatment.

What are the side effects from laser hair removal?

Expected side effects may include redness, itchy skin, mild follicle swelling, or irritation of treatment areas. All of which are normal. It is important to follow aftercare instructions to receive maximum results with minimal side effects.

Can I have laser hair removal if I am on medications?

Certain medications can cause photosensitivity, and this may affect the skin's reaction to the treatment. These medications include but are not limited to topical vitamin A including Retinols, some antibiotics, and certain anti-depressants. Please be sure to provide us with your complete medication list.

How long should I go in between laser hair removal appointments?

Depending on your hair, skin type, and the area being treated you will usually require treatments at 4-6 week intervals. Each part of the body has a different hair growth cycle, so hair loss will vary depending on what phase your follicles are in at the time of treatment.

Will all the treated hair be removed in one session?

No, each laser hair removal treatment provides a 10%-15% hair reduction. The treated hair will fall out over the next 2 weeks following the treatment. We recommend a minimum series of 6 treatments done at monthly intervals. After that maintenance treatments can be scheduled as needed.
