To find out the presence of H. pylori, a bacterium that resides in your stomach and causes acidity, stomach disorders and digestion issues. This test is for you if

  • you have acidity and heart burn
  • you have bloating, belching or stomach ache (persistent or recurrent)
  • you smoke or use tobacco products frequently
  • you have pain/ discomfort in stomach area after lying down, at night or after food intake
  • you have loss of appetite and decrease in weight
  • you have history of/ currently using NSAIDS
  • you have uninvestigated digestion issues
  • you have taken eradication treatment &/ or monitoring treatment response

What's tested

  • Breath test baseline
  • Breath test few minutes after the ingestion of liquid containing synthetic urea

Eligibility

You must be 18 years of age or older to purchase Please DONOT take the test if you have

  • Pregnancy/ breastfeeding
  • Swallowing difficulty
  • Persistent vomiting
  • Severe anemia or jaundice
  • Known allergy to mannitol, citric acid or aspartame

Preparing for your test

Avoid taking any antibiotics, PPIs or H2 receptor blockers prior to test or check with you Health care provider. Avoid eating or drinking water at least 1 hour before the test for reliable results.

After the test

After your specimen is taken, it takes a few business days to process and report it, although processing time varies for individual tests. You will receive your results with a relevant reporting. In case of results that are outside the expected ranges, please consult you PCP or Health care coordinator.
