To find out the cause of abdominal discomfort, bloating, loose stools, flatulence or indigestion after consumption of gluten containing foods (wheat, rye and barley) . This test is for you if

  • you have sign and symptoms of gluten sensitivity
  • you have loose stools and abdominal pain for which no other cause could be found
  • you have malnutrition and vitamin deficiencies
  • you have unexplained weight loss
  • you have rash and arthritis
  • you have anemias or bleeding issues
  • you have a family history of celiac disease

Eligibility

You must be 18 years of age or older to purchase Please DONOT take the test if you have

  • Blood in stools
  • Fever
  • Severe abdominal pain
  • Gluten free diet

Preparing for your test

No special preparation is needed although patients should be on gluten containing diet. Omitting gluten will result in a false negative test even if you have celiac disease.

After the test

After your specimen is taken, it takes a few business days to process and report it, although processing time varies for individual tests. You will receive your results with a relevant reporting. In case of results that are outside the expected ranges, please consult you PCP or Health care coordinator.
