  • ✔ Avoid tanning or sun exposure for 2 weeks.
  • ✔ Discontinue any photo-sensitizing medications for at least 72 hours before your appointment (i.e. doxycycline, tetracycline, cipro, Bactrim).
  • ✔ Come to your appointment with clean skin free of makeup if possible.
  • ❌ We are not able to provide this treatment if you are pregnant.
  • ❌ Must be off Accutane for 12 months.
Post-treatment Instructions:
  • ✔ Apply cold compresses as needed for skin warmth.
  • ✔ We will send you home with after care products and instructions.
  • ✔ Starting the morning after your treatment cleanse twice daily with lukewarm water using only your hands to scrub.
  • ✔ You can start wearing makeup after 24 hours.
  • ✔ You can restart your regular skin care routine after skin has fully healed, about 7-10 days.
  • ✔ Wear SPF 30 daily for at least 3 months.
  • ❌ Avoid strenuous exercise and sweating for 24 hours.
  • ❌ Don’t pick or scratch at the MENDS, allow to fall off naturally.
  • ❌ Avoid direct sun exposure for 2 weeks.
  • ❌ Avoid shaving, harsh lotions, or scrubbing/exfoliating for 7 days.

How comfortable is the treatment
  • We generally recommend numbing cream to help ensure your treatment is as comfortable as possible.
  • For some people, at the lower levels numbing may not be needed.
How long does it take to see results?
  • Results vary depending on your treatment goals.
  • It can take up to 10 days for all the MENDS to slough off, revealing the renewed skin beneath. This time is shorter for less intense treatment.
  • Your skin texture and tone will continue to improve over the next several months.
What to expect
  • Treated area may be warm for 1-2 hours after the treatment, this can continue for 12-24 hours.
  • Redness is normal and expected, this can last for up to 7 days depending on level of intensity of treatment.
  • MENDS, tiny dark spots, will appear 1-2 days after your treatment. They will fall off naturally revealing your renewed skin.
  • Mild swelling can happen immediately after the treatment and may last for 24 hours.
How many treatments will I need?
  • This will depend on your treatment goals and level of damage.
  • Most patients receive 3-4 corrective treatments, then often will sign up for regular maintenance treatments throughout the year.
